Sensei Glen Pitcher is the Head Instructor and co-founder of Musubi Dojo and currently holds the teaching license of Mokuroku [the equivalent of 4th-5th dan (degree) in the kyu, dan ranking system]. This license was awarded to him by Sensei Paul Fox Kaiden (8th-10th dan) the current head of the Chokushin Ryu (system) of Aiki-Jujutsu, and the Chokushin Grading Board. Sensei Pitcher has also been ranked 4th dan by the Canadian Jujutsu Council Grading Board headed and chaired by the CJC's founder Shihan Ronald Forrester (9th dan).
Sensei Pitcher began training in the martial arts in 1980 at the age of 10 starting with Karate and then Judo. In 1987 he began studying Ninjutsu before finally finding Aiki-Jujutsu. After achieving his Black Belt (Shodan) in 1999 he co-founded the Musubi Dojo with Sensei Chris Luttrell.

Sensei Pitcher also holds a brown belt in the art of Judo under Sensei Jim Walker (6th dan), a brown belt in Kenpo Karate under Roy Dixon (2nd dan) and a blue belt in Togakure Ryu Ninjutsu under Frank Hill (10th dan) of Durham Bujinkan Ninjutsu Dojo.
Sensei Pitcher is a former Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Ministry of Correctional Services and is certified to instruct expandable baton, straight baton, rapid rotation baton, pressure point control tactics, empty hands defensive tactics, tactical ground control as well as several methods of handcuffing, and he is also a qualified Defensive Pistol Instructor. Further to which he was the Team Leader of the Whitby Jail's tactical units I.C.I.T. (Institutional Crisis Intervention Team) and C.E.T. (Cell Extraction Team).
Sensei Pitcher has provided both Martial Arts training and Defensive Tactics training to Corrections, Police and Security personnel. Currently he teaches Defensive Tactics and Handcuffing for the Nuclear Security Industry.
