Sensei Jolin holds the rank of Kirikami (1st dan) in Chokushin Aiki-Jujutsu after being graded by the current head of the system, Sensei Paul Fox (8th dan). This comes after having achieved his 1st dan from the Canadian Jujutsu Council grading board, headed by Shihan Ronald Forrester (9th dan), president of the Canadian Jujutsu Council.

Sensei Jolin started training in 1998 at Aiki Jujitsu Canada with Sesei Robert Stein and Sensei Chris Luttrell. He then trained for a while at both Musubi Dojo with Sensei's Pitcher & Luttrell and Jucu Dojo with Sensei Karen Luttrell until moving exclusively to Musubi Dojo. Although he has attended/participated in many different seminars and events throughtout his training, he has dedicated his training exclusively to the art of Aiki-Jujutsu.
Sensei Jolin is the first Musubi Dojo student training under Sensei's Pitcher, Partington and Luttrell to achieve the rank of black belt. He continues to train and teach at Musubi Dojo.
